What we collect and why
| What | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiry forms: your name, email address, message, and optionally your phone number and the turbine you are asking about. The partner form also asks, optionally, for your company, country and what your business does | To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, prepare a quote | Steps taken at your request before entering a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), or our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Emails and phone calls: whatever you choose to send or tell us | To deal with what you contacted us about | As above |
| Website visit data: IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time | Processed by our hosting provider to deliver the site and protect it from attacks and abuse | Our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Visit statistics: the page viewed, the site that linked to it, your country, device type, browser, operating system and how fast the page loaded | To see, in aggregate, how many people visit the site, which pages they read and how quickly pages load | Our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Article 6(1)(f)) |
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint your device and does not track you across other websites. We see totals only, never individual visitors.
We do not use advertising or other tracking tools on this website. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website, protects it from attacks, runs the enquiry form and provides our visit statistics.
- Brevo, based in France, delivers enquiry-form messages to our inbox by email.
- Microsoft provides our business email (Microsoft 365).
These providers act only on our instructions under data processing agreements.
Transfers outside the EEA
Cloudflare is based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for two years after our last contact with you, and then delete them. Security logs are held by our hosting provider for a short period under its own retention policy. Cloudflare keeps full visit statistics for 7 days, then only an aggregated sample.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct it or delete it
- ask us to restrict how we use it
- object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests
- receive the data you gave us in a portable format
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at www.dataprotection.ie.
